Advertising Rules

Advertising on Uniben Calendar must be safe, honest and suitable for a university community.

Advertiser responsibility

Advertisers must use a genuine identity and business name, provide a working destination link, hold any permissions needed for their offer and ensure every claim can be supported. Approval by Uniben Calendar is not an endorsement.

Content we do not accept

  • Illegal products, scams, impersonation, deceptive claims or pyramid schemes.
  • Discriminatory, hateful, threatening, sexually explicit or exploitative material.
  • Weapons, unlawful drugs, unsafe medical claims or content encouraging dangerous behaviour.
  • Malware, phishing, forced downloads or pages that collect information deceptively.
  • False claims of University approval, guaranteed results or misleading prices.
  • Content that infringes privacy, copyright, trademarks or other rights.

Review and delivery

Every campaign may be reviewed before going live. We may reject, pause or remove an advert that breaches these rules, creates risk or receives a credible complaint. Campaign delivery depends on its dates, selected calendars, available budget and verified views.

Google Calendar Sponsored Notices are a separate premium placement. They are clearly labelled as sponsored, contain no reminder, and are limited to one notice per calendar each week. A booked slot is delivered only after full payment and Admin approval. Google does not provide a reliable count of people who saw an event, so Sponsored Notices are sold by calendar and week—not by view.

Views, clicks and billing

A verified view is a qualifying advert display counted by our systems. We limit repeat counts using an anonymous browser identifier where the visitor has allowed analytics. Clicks are reported separately and are not guaranteed. Attempts to manipulate views or clicks may lead to campaign suspension without credit for fraudulent activity.

Landing pages and changes

The destination page must match the advert, work on common devices and remain safe for the full campaign. Material changes after approval may require another review.
